FOREST BATHING

Sunday, October 25 (2-4 pm)

We are so grateful and excited to share this soul-nourishing journey among the healing power and wisdom of the trees.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFO

Parking will occur next door to the Eartheart Institute at 4301 S Leonard Springs Rd, Bloomington, IN. Pull in a gravel driveway and follow it all the way towards the backyard. Because we have clients coming and going all day to see our therapists and coaches, we are going to reserve our parking lot out front for those clients. However, the house next door is actually one of our rental properties, and a parking helper will be out to greet you and show you where to park on the grass and where to go after parking. Please plan an extra 10 minutes for parking so that you can be on the labyrinth right at our start time.

WE BEGIN & END ON THE LABYRINTH

We will begin our journey on the labyrinth in the backyard of the Eartheart Institute, located at 4307 S Leonard Springs Rd in Bloomington, IN. After parking next door (see above), you will be guided towards the labyrinth. After our opening circle (where you will learn more about forest bathing, be guided in a meditation, and given some ideas for practices to try in the forest), we will walk to the opening of the trail. At the end of forest bathing, we will gather back on the labyrinth for the closing circle.

A WARM OUTDOOR FIRE WILL BE AVAILABLE

We'll have a fire going on the labyrinth when you arrive and for our closing circle to help add a little coziness and warmth.

Sturdy shoes for walking on trails

Water

Layered clothing to maintain the temperature you desire

If it happens to be a sunny day, feel free to bring sun protection for time on the labyrinth before and after forest bathing (optional, and the actual forest bathing will be shaded)

Weather depending, a raincoat, umbrella, and/or hat to shield from rain could be helpful

Insect repellent (optional)

Walking stick (optional)

Journal if you'd like to take notes of insights that arise (optional)

What is the layout of our time together? We will begin in a circle around the labyrinth to learn more about forest bathing, how to enjoy and receive the most from it, and the many research-backed benefits. Bret will then guide you on your own quiet, meditative journey through the forest.

Is this like exercise? Do I need to be active? You get to move at your own pace during the entire experience and can be still or in motion. Unfortunately, this experience is not wheelchair accessible.

Who will be guiding this Forest Bathing experience? Bret Eartheart, Licensed Psychotherapist, trained Forest Guide, and Co-Founder of the Center for Thriving Relationships, will be your main guide, and Christine Eartheart will be there for added support.

What if I have more questions? We are here to help! Email Info@CenterThrive.com, and we'll make sure you have everything you need.

We truly look forward to sharing this sacred time with you!

Abundant Love and Blessings,
