Here’s a quick and simple (but powerful!) date night activity we love to do periodically and that could be fun to do together. It only takes 10-15 minutes and is well worth it.
Each of you will get a piece of paper and write at the top:
“I love when you…”
Then, quietly on your own, make a list of 10 brief things to complete the prompt.
Include things that are currently happening in your relationship and that you appreciate about your sweetheart (be sure to reinforce and recognize the good things already present that mean a lot to you!) as well as things you would enjoy experiencing even more.

Then, after you’ve both written, go back and forth, naming out loud one thing at a time.
Hear each other with open hearts.
Recognize that the information your sweetheart is giving you is GOLDEN.
Feel what an honor it is that they are entrusting you with the keys to their heart, to their joy, to their feeling of being loved.
It’s easy to complicate things in our romantic relationships.
But, as with so many things in life, we often make it way more complicated than it needs to be.
Here’s the thing — when we are first falling in love, we go out of our way to find those things we know will light each other up.
And we prioritize them.
Then, the more and more secure we feel in our relationship, it’s easy for those things to fall away.
It isn’t because we care about each other less.
It’s simply because we’re human. We get comfortable. We no longer fear our partner could leave at any moment if we stopped doing the things that mean the most to them.
This sense of security is beautiful and essential in thriving love.
But it’s also a dangerous trap when it leads to us no longer passionately getting interested in doing the things that make each other feel more wonderful, day in and day out.
Feel disconnected from your partner?
This will help light the path to find your way back.
Feel like you are the only one putting in effort in your relationship?
After doing this exercise with your partner, you may be surprised to discover they have unmet needs too — they just look different than yours.
Feel like you can never succeed at making your partner happy?
Look a little closer. Chances are, it’s not as hard as you’re making it.
Once you have these lists from each other, hold them close.
Read and reread them.
Make it your mission to do as many of the things on your partner’s list every day as possible.
And let it be FUN.
Sending you so much love, bright blessings, and an abundance of gratitude for being on this journey of love with us, heart in heart.
